Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer virtual options?
We currently have a few virtual options throughout our programs at Mind & Move Academy. We are working on expanding these offerings to allow for more accessibility to our programs and courses.
Do you offer any payment plans?
Yes! If you’re signing up for the 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Program you can pay through 2x payments OR 4x payments.
What’s the max amount of time I can take to complete the 200 Hour Program?
We recommend you complete all the courses within 2 years to get your teaching certificate. Research and education is always advancing and we value high teaching standards, which is why we recommend this. We individually look at each student to determine if re-certification is needed in any courses to get your 200 Hour Certificate if it’s been past 2 years. Continuing Education is required by Yoga Alliance every 2 years, so this aligns with their standards.
Is there a final test to get your 200 Hour Certificate?
There isn’t a written test, but that being said there will be ways that you are tested in order to receive a pass or fail. We value high standards in teaching and will be using a set of indicators and looking for established competencies during your practicum.
What is the practicum for the 200 Hour Program?
The practicum requires you to lead 2x classes (private and/or public). You will be given a clear list of what our expectations are and what competencies we’ll be looking for during this practicum. We set you up to succeed. Upon meeting the standards of the final practicum class, submitting your final reflections homework and completing your mentorship/feedback session, you will receive your certification.
Can I take a few courses and decide to enrol in the full 200 Hour Program at a later date?
Absolutely. We understand that people need to test drive the car before they buy it. You can choose to take any of our courses at any time and later decide that you’d like to enrol in the 200 Hour Program. You can go at your own pace to complete all the courses, but we recommend you take no longer than 2 years if you plan on receiving your 200 Hour designation. If the timeline extends beyond 2 years, we may require you to re-certify in some of the courses in order to stay up to date with the latest research and information.
Is there a specific order to complete the courses in?
The order of the courses as scheduled is the recommend order. If you are going at your own pace, it is okay for the order to be adjusted as each course is focused on a specific topic. We recommend you set up a discovery call to discuss your plan for the 200 Hour Program.
Can I take courses a part of your 200 Hour Program to go towards the 300 Hour Program (if I already have my 200)
Yes. If you have your 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Certificate through another school of yoga, you can take any of our courses to go towards our 300 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Program.
